30th Birthday on the High Seas

If you have to turn 30 you might as well do it in style right?

We love the Disney Cruise Line! If you didn't know we were married on the Disney Dream in 2014- maybe that's a blog post for another day ;) A sailing on a Disney ship is always at the very top of our getaway list. For my birthday trip we took a 3 night cruise on the Disney Dream.

We started out my birthday with a Couple's Choice* massage in a villa in the Senses Spa. WOW. Our massage room had it's own private verandah, personal whirlpool hot tub, and outdoor open air shower. We were able to enjoy the views and the hot tub for about 30 minutes prior to our massage. We then enjoyed a 75 minute stone massage. Afterwards we had more verandah time while we were served chocolate covered strawberries! I would be just fine with this being a permanent activity for us on all future cruises :)

Birthdays are some of my favorite days. We go all out for birthdays in our family, and try to fill the day with as many surprises as possible. Following suit my sweet husband surprised me with a birthday cake delivered to our stateroom.

For dinner we decided to make reservations at Remy** We have eaten at Palo before (and loved it!) so we wanted to try something new. I do not have adequate words to describe Remy. From the moment I walked in I was in awe. The view from our table was picture perfect. The wait staff was beyond anything I could have imagined. The food. I honestly do not know how to finish that sentence. The food was not like anything I had ever experienced before and I enjoyed each and every bite. We were seated at 6:20 and we finished dinner at 9:15, it was 7 courses I believe ;) I even received a special dessert for my birthday, and a box of chocolates to take home with me!

So there's a small recap of my 30th birthday! So much fun right? I didn't even have time to include all the other activities we did while sailing on the Disney Dream.

If you have any questions on our activities or cruising with Disney in general please shoot me an email or a message on Instagram!!

*Our couple's choice massage cost us $475- which seems pricey but worth every penny!

**Remy is $95 per person. They also have a strict dress code.

The best news is that planning this trip inspired us to make some new scents! Mouse Keeping on the Seas and Castaway Cabanas are coming this summer! Stay tuned for a blog post about what experiences inspired these scents :)

Inspiration for The Land

Some of my all time favorite memories are from our wedding and honeymoon. It was a wonderful two weeks that took us to Disney World, on the Disney Dream, to Jamaica, and then back to Disney World. I adore the memories we made over that two week span.

One of our very favorite rides at Walt Disney World is Living with the Land, so we decided to book the Behind the Seeds Tour during our stay. This tour is so fun! If you haven't booked it do that now.** Seeing the ride from behind the scenes was inspiring! I was ready to go home start a garden (which did not happen! ha) and grow all sorts of things. At one point in the trip we were able to sample the cucumbers grown right there in the attraction. I am not a big cucumber fan, but that was the sweetest, tastiest cucumber I have ever eaten. I actually wanted more!

All this was back in 2014. Fast forward to 2017 and this sweet memory inspired one of our newest scents, The Land. A cucumber melon scent in honor of the tasty cucumber we were able to sample years ago. This memories associated with this scent make is one of my favorites! :)

**The Behind the Seeds Tour is a must do! This walking tour is about 45 minutes long. The best part is that it only runs you $25 per adult, and $20 per child. That price is before any type of AP or DVC Member discount. TIP: We rode Living the Land right before our check in time :)
